Making School Project With Tea

Have you ever gotten an assignment about some old times? Where you needed to write a letter or make a map or pass on a decree?

Incidentally, paper was also discovered in China. In the Han Dynasty.

Well I did. In high school I once got an assignment where we needed to write letters from a solider in WWI. The idea was that the letters never got home and years later someone found his letters and delivered them to his family.

I don’t remember what I wrote in the letters but I certainly remember how to make a paper look old and in some cases burnt. The key is…you guessed right. Tea!

Just follow these steps:

Take some tea bags and soak them in the water.

You can then either dip the paper in the water or use tea bags to press them on to the paper.

Once the paper is looking old enough, crumble it a little, and leave it to dry.

If you want to give it a burned effect just hold a lighter under it or hold the paper on a stovetop.

After that use a good tip pen to write a letter to your loved one or draw up a map from medieval times.

What do you think? Ready to make some old parchment paper?
