Tea for Wisdom Teeth Anyone

Hello, hello everyone.

So, last week I had two of my wisdom teeth extracted. And although it wasn’t as painful (probably due to Tylenol 3) as I’ve heard people describe, it also wasn’t fun. The worst part was that I could only have cold stuff and mostly liquid, at least for the first day. Let’s say I appreciate chewing a lot more now. And now just because I had teeth extracted doesn’t mean I won’t be having my tea, now does it? I still had my tea. I just had strong black tea and it was cold. Like very cold.

So why did I have tea and what good it could have done to my bloody gums? Well it helped sooth the pain of my gums and best of all it helped blood clotting. Black tea has a Tannin compound in it. Other teas have too but Black tea happens to have it in more quantity. Tannis occurs naturally in tea, especially Black tea, and Red Wine.

Some of the benefits of Tannis are:

  • Ability to fight against bacteria, fungi, and viruses

  • Speeding of blood clotting

  • Reducing blood pressure

  • Positive effects on liver and immune system

So long story short, drinking cold black tea helped with the blood clotting, the gum pain, and any other infections that may have had happened.

Or you could have a whole lot of Red Wine and be a little tIpSy. I went for tea.

- All I did was put two tea bags of Tetley Orange Pekoe Black Tea in a glass of lukewarm water. I had Tetley because that's what I have at home, at all times. You can use any black tea your heart desire.

- Let the bags soak a little. Then put glass in the fridge.

- Drink it when you think the bags have steeped real well.

- When drinking the tea take your time moving the water around in your mouth (I know it sounds disgusting) so it can sooth the affected areas.

I had cold tea for about 5 days.

Well that’s it! Enjoy your tea hold or cold. Until next time then.
